2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Thank the great recession for the destruction caused in Corvette production volume in 2009. It hurt all brands, but clearly sports cars with their discretionary nature were hit hardest. A total of only 16,956 Corvettes.
1977 Corvette
The 1977 Corvette set another new sales and production record at 49,213 units. The popularity of the Chevy Corvette throughout the 1970’s was proven time and again by the year over year increase in sales numbers despite the dramatic increases in cost.
For the fourth generation Corvette, legendary Corvette racer John Greenwood developed the G4R. It was essentially a radical bodykit that usually followed a high level of performance upgrades. Included was a ground effects package that had integrated lights on the front valance. Furthermore the a new engine scoop and rear wing were fitted.
