Callaway and Corvettes Belong Together
You’ll be hard-pressed to find something that goes together as well as the tuning outfit Callaway and the Chevrolet Corvette. Callaway has a German branch that’s called Callaway Competition. It has just turned 25 years old, and to celebrate this, it is putting out a special 25th Anniversary Edition of the Callaway Corvette SC757 based on the C7 Corvette Z06.
The company plans to build only 25 of the cars and each buyer will have to supply their own donor car for the build. The SC757 package that the new anniversary car will be built on came out in 2015. It pumped up the Z06’s supercharged V8 engine from its stock 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque to a whopping 757 hp and 777 lb-ft of torque.
This 25th Anniversary Edition comes with special logos, upgraded cooling, lowered suspension, a widened track, rear wing, and Callaway’s D-shaped exhaust tips, according to Motor Authority. The car also features Bilstein adjustable coil-over suspension, a more hardcore suspension setup and upgraded Brembo brakes as well as a carbon fiber seat, forged wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Buyers can also add Callaway’s AeroWagon shooting brake conversion to the build if they want to. This conversion turns the car into a whole new type of Corvette, giving the car a shooting brake roof unlike the Corvette has had before. However, despite the body style change, you don’t actually get that much more storage space.
