The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was a groundbreaking achievement, designed to elevate the Corvette brand in terms of power, track performance, and technology, marking the pinnacle of its 66-year production history. It also marked the end of the era of front-engine Hyper-Corvettes.
Beneath the hood, it boasted Chevrolet’s exclusive LT5 supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine, pushing the Corvette’s supercharging legacy further with an astounding 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque, setting a new Chevrolet production vehicle power record. With this setup, the C7 Corvette ZR1 is capable of propelling itself from 0-60 in 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 212 mph.
In this video posted on Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds YouTube channel, we get to see it pushed to limits over half a mile. Watch the video to see how fast the Corvette went in this top speed run.
