Check Out This Incredible 1963 Corvette Split-Window Restomod
With all of the craziness of the past couple weeks, we wanted to give everyone something pretty to look at as well as something to look forward to in October of this year.
A beautiful 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Restomod will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Palm Beach, Florida on the weekend of October 15-17, 2020.
This 1963 Corvette began life like every other split-window coupe of its era. However, under the watchful eye and talented hands of Jeff Hayes Customs, this Corvette was transformed from an American classic into a true work of art that maintains its sports car heritage while being catapulted into the 21st Century! This comprehensive restoration was completed in 2019 and, well, just look at it!
Beneath the fully-restored exterior is a new Art Morrison chassis which incorporates front and rear sway bars and self-dampening shocks. This 1963 Corvette has also been equipped with massive Wilwood brakes that feature a 6-piston caliper system in the front and a 4-piston caliper setup in the rear. This one-of-a-kind beauty also features power steering, power windows, a power hood, and an all-new air condition and heating system. This beautiful Corvette features staggered wheels measuring 18-inches in the front and 20-inch in the rear.
Beneath the hood of this magnificent machine is a GM LS3 V8 engine that produces an incredibly healthy 540 horsepower. This beastly engine is mated to an 4L70E automatic transmission with overdrive. The transmission comes fitted with a Lokar shifter. Not only does the LS3 engine produce incredible power which promises to melt the rear wheels, but it does so while looking like a work of art thanks to the specially-fitted chrome finish.
The Corvette’s interior features a Billet Specialties steering wheel, a chrome steering column, and all-new red leather upholstery. There’s even a futuristic backlight in the trunk and beneath the iconic split rear windows.
It is worth noting that Barrett-Jackson elected to postpone the 2020 Palm Beach Auction, which had originally been scheduled for April 16-18, 2020. This decision was made to safeguard customers, sponsors and guests from the global COVID-19 Pandemic. Current ticket holders can have their tickets transferred to the new event dates. Full refunds are also available. Details for transfers and refunds will be communicated directly to ticket holders.
This 1963 Corvette Restomod will be auctioned off with no reserve.
