When this Electron Blue Z06 recently surfaced on the popular Facebook Low Miles No Miles page, which has a whopping 309,000+ members, enthusiasts displayed a wide range of emotions. The story was so compelling I couldn’t resist taking a swing at bringing it to you, our faithful CorvSport readers. [Author’s Note: This article is FREE and not behind a paywall. I think I can speak for most of us avid enthusiasts that sometimes owning and inevitably trying to sell these old fifth-generation Corvettes can be frustrating. Anyone who has tried to sell a vehicle, especially a Corvette, can attest to the challenges, especially if you’re attempting to do so on a platform like Facebook marketplace or a Corvette-specific Facebook page.

Well, one C5 Z06 owner dealt with that frustration differently and, with the help of his Louisville Slugger, took matters into his own hands.

The Story From Moe B., The Enthusiast Who Rescued Her

Bought this c5z back in 2020 from the insurance auction with very weird damage, it looked like someone took a baseball bat to every panel the quarter, roof, doors, fenders, hood, windsheild all had holes. Posted it on the c5z facebook page trying to find a backstory and apparently a couple months back from when i bought it a guy was trying to sell it but was way overpriced so he gave up and took a bat to it to collect insurance money. He posted the damage on the fb page and everyone knew something was off and apparently he was caught up and got hit with insurance fraud.

I had a ton of fun driving the car with all the damage just enjoying driving/racing it and never washing it lol. I eventually got the damage fixed after putting around 3k miles on it.

The Before Pictures Moe Shared

The first logical question that comes to my mind is: How could somebody who’s in a position to buy such a nice fifth-generation Z06 be so stupid to think they can get away with beating it with a baseball bat for an insurance claim? Just how popular was Moe B.’s post?

“I had a ton of fun driving the car with all the damage just enjoying driving/racing it and never washing it lol…” Moe B.

The pictures Moe shared definitely showed a “don’t care factor” of 10/10!

Let’s go racing! Moe decides some fat Hoosiers take priority over the repairs.

Track time, and still no repairs!

Did I mention that the bat-wielding owner boosted her?

With just 11,124 miles, the interior was clean. Moe mentioned that he had to bid $20,000 in 2020 to take her home from the insurance auction.

Moe still had little care, rolling around town with his dirty and beaten Electron Blue Z06. I like the way this guy rolls.

After The Repairs

Moe didn’t share many after-pictures, but this one sure looks good!
