Bring a Trailer is currently offering a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette at No Reserve with the auction ending on Wednesday, July 27.

The 1961 Chevrolet Corvette example was refurbished in 2011 and its fiberglass body was refinished in red with white coves. It also has a removable white hardtop, wraparound split bumpers, front-hinged hood, quad headlights and taillights, driver-side mirror, bright trim, as well as dual exhaust outlets that exit aft of the rear wheels. It does have a power-operated convertible top, but the selling dealer has disclosed that it is inoperative.

It sits on color-keyed 15-inch steel wheels with vented chrome covers with faux knock-off spinners wrapped in whitewall tires. The full-size spare is hidden under the trunk floor. All four corners are equipped with drum brakes.

For the interior, it has bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl, with the dash pad and door panels with ribbed aluminum inserts are painted in matching red. Comfort features of the example include power windows, lap belts, dash-mounted rearview mirror, analog clock, and a Wonder Bar AM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel is also in red and it frames a semi-circular 160-mph speedometer centered on a 7k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for fuel level, battery, coolant temperature, and oil pressure was placed on the side. The five-digit odometer shows a mileage of 34k though only roughly 100 of those were driven by the current selling dealer. True mileage of the example is currently unknown.

Under the hood of the example is a fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It was factory rated at 315 hp. It was also equipped with a high-lift camshaft, dual exhaust system, and a high-speed valve system with mechanical lifters, and a Ramjet fuel inject which they claim was rebuilt in 2020. A four-speed manual transmission matched with a Positraction rear with 3.70:1 gearing sends power to the rear wheels.

In preparation for the sale, the example had its engine oil changed.

As of writing, the 1961 Chevrolet Corvette 283/315 Fuelie 4-Speed has a bid of $50,000 with the auction ending on Wednesday, July 27.
