In this video, Joe Raiti from Raiti’s Rides takes a closer look at the Lingenfelter C8 Corvette Z51, a modified version of the standard C8 featuring performance upgrades from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.
This vehicle is powered by a 6.2L LT2 naturally aspirated V8 engine, which has been modified by Lingenfelter to include a performance carbon fiber intake manifold, a larger throttle body, and complete ECU integration. These upgrades boost its output to 560 horsepower, surpassing the stock Z51’s 495 horsepower.
Lingenfelter predicts impressive performance figures, estimating a 0-60 mph time of about 2.5 seconds, a quarter-mile time of approximately 11 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 195 mph. The car maintains the C8’s distinctive mid-engine design, enhanced by visual upgrades such as carbon fiber side sills, mirror caps, and an intake plenum. It also features a GM performance rear wing and a Lingenfelter Corsa performance exhaust system with quad tips.
