Collecting Cars is offering a low mileage example of a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary.
The “50th Anniversary Special Edition” Corvette package, available only on base coupes and convertibles, consisted of a special metallic-burgundy Anniversary Red exterior with champagne colored wheels and specific “anniversary edition” badging.
Complementing the exterior, a shale colored interior was highlighted with embroidered emblems on the seats and floor mats, armrests, and grips. When included as part of the convertible package, the collapsible top also featured the matching shale-color. This option was only available to consumers as part of a preferred equipment group.
The example featured here comes with a 5.7-litre LS1 V8 paired to a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential and produces 350bhp and 365lb-ft of torque. The powertrain allows ftge Corvette to have a 0-60mph sprint time of just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 164mph.
Both the Anniversary Red exterior and its Shale leather-trimmed interior are reportedly in excellent, original condition. The same goes for its standard equipment that includes ‘F55’ Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, electrochromic mirrors, a head-up display, an adjustable steering column, and the Memory Package.
This 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary is rare and special edition version the iconic American sports car that boasts anniversary-exclusive color paintwork and interior features. Offered with only 6,020 miles since new, it should make for an amazing daily driver or as an excellent addition to any collector’s garage.
