General Motors introduced the 2008 Corvette C6 GT4 that they used to compete in that year’s FIA GT4 Championship. The C6 Corvette GT4 was motivated by a 6.2 V8 LS3 engine churning out 437 bhp. Callaway, however, offered to boost up its power output to 500 bhp for GT4s that were not participating in non-FIA race categories. The engine is paired to a Tremec close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox and a Tilton triple-plate race clutch.
Production of the 2008 Corvette C6 GT4 was supervised by Callaway Competition in Leingarten, Germany. It was based on a 2008 C6 Corvette and comes with an optional aerodynamic kit that features a large front spoiler with splitter and a rear wing for more downforce.
