To commemorate the arrival of the new millennium, Chevrolet offered two new paint colors or the 2000 model year – Millennium Yellow and Dark Bowling Green Metallic. Millennium Yellow carried an additional cost of $500.00. The additional cost was because of the paint itself, but the result of the special equipment and process required for producing a tinted clear coat that added visual depth to the paint’s appearance.
