FOR SALE: A 2001 Corvette Z06 with Low (11k) Miles!
The summer is underway and there’s no better way to enjoy the warm weather than behind the wheel of a new-to-you Corvette. We found this one for sale at bringatrailer.com and it was too good of a deal for us to ignore. While this car is being sold in an auction format, it is currently priced at just $14,000. The price will probably climb, but we think this is definitely one to keep an eye on!
This 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a three-owner car, which isn’t bad given that the car turns 20 years old this year! It was first registered as a Texas car, though it also spent time in Oklahoma before returning to the Lone Star state in 2021.
Like all 2001 Z06 Corvettes, this car came equipped with the LS6 5.7-liter V8 engine. It was rated at 385 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. Although Chevrolet bolstered the horsepower of the fifth-generation Corvettes to 405 horsepower in 2003, we can tell you that this car is no slouch – it will get up and go easily, and promises a thrilling driving experience you’re not soon to forget. Power is transferred to its rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Both a battery swap and oil change were completed when the car reach 10k miles, so she’s ready to run! This Z06 Corvette also came equipped with the FE4 performance suspension.
The exterior of this Z06 is finished in Millennium Yellow. The fifth-generation Z06’s were only offered as fixed roof coupes (FRC). It comes equipped with thinner (lighter) glass, reduced sound deadening and a titanium exhaust system. Its exterior features include retractable headlights, special Z06 fender badges, functional brake cooling ducts ahead of the rear wheels, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The car rides on 17-inch wheels out front and 18-inch wheels in the rear. All four wheels are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Sports tires with date codes from 2020. The previous owner reported that these tires were installed when the car hit 10k miles. There are rub marks on one of the wheels.
Moving inside, the interior cabin features black leather with a red “Z06” logo embroidered into the headrest. This car came equipped with an onboard computer, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system with a factory CD player. The electric steering column lock was replaced as part of a recall campaign, and a replacement key fob was obtained and programmed when the other services were performed on the car at 10k miles. Like all Z06 models, the dashboard contains a 200mph speedometer and a tachometer with 6,500-rpm redline, along with the standard fuel, voltage, oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges. As mentioned previously, the odometer reads just 11,000 miles (appx.)
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas and Oklahoma. The car is currently titled in Texas.
