Up for sale on BringATrailer is a 1957 C1 Chevrolet Corvette. This car has been owned by the same owner since 1962 and was stored from 1969 until 2002. The car is by no means original, but it is still a gorgeous classic. This auction ends Thursday, March 18 at 2:45 pm EST.
In 2002, this C1 Corvette was repainted and refurbished with modifications. The car is finished in metallic turquoise with ivory side coves over a light beige interior. The original fuel-injected 283ci V8 was replaced with a 327ci V8 and paired with a three-speed manual transmission. It’s also had some modifications such as 1958 model tail lenses, a shaved trunk lid, front and rear bumperette removal, and 15-inch American Racing wheels.
The most recent addition to this ‘57 Corvette was a four-barrel Holley carburetor installed in 2020. The engine has also been fitted with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and an HEI distributor. The sale will also include a set of chrome hubcaps, a pair of cylinder heads, a pair of finned valve covers, a spare radiator, other miscellaneous spare parts, an owner’s manual with service records, and a clean New Jersey title in the owner’s name.
The seller has stated that the was a repair to the left fender in 2014. The car’s soft top and frame have been removed. It is also missing the latch pins for the hardtop so it does not clamp fully.
