Up for sale is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette coupe that was produced in April of ‘65 in the St.Louis, Missouri Chevrolet plant. It is currently listed on BringATrailer and there are just over 5 hours left at the time of this article.
This 3rd-owner ‘65 Corvette is finished in Glen Green over black vinyl. It is also a numbers-matching example that comes with a 396ci L78 V8, 4-speed manual transmission, and capable of 425 horsepower. The odometer reads 70,325 original miles, very few being added from the seller.
The current owner has had maintenance performed over the last 35 years of ownership while only adding about 3,000 miles to the odometer. According to the listing on BaT, the stock C2 comes with a teakwood-rimmed steering wheel, a telescopic steering column, power windows, and an AM/FM radio with a power antenna, power-assisted disc brakes, and a Positraction rear end.
This car also features chrome-finished rocker-panel trim and split bumpers, pop-up headlights, vented fenders, and tinted windows. The current has also stated that the windshield was replaced prior to taking possession of the car 35 years ago. The listing also states that the front-left of the car is thought to have been repainted. Though the Glen Green paint is not perfect, it does look original as you can reference the photos on the listing here.
The seller states that he has replaced the radiator, spark plugs, ignition wires, fan clutch, and fuel filter. He also reported that a cracked piston was replaced during prior ownership. This car will also come with a clean Oregan title in the seller’s name, an owner’s manual, and a Nation Corvette Restorers Society certificate.
