A Car Your Collection Needs
The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette you see here underwent a three-year refurbishment. It’s now an immaculate car. It features a silver exterior over a red vinyl interior. The car was part of the Ron Pratte Collection before it was purchased by the current owner in early 2015. Today it is for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The car is unique because it has a 327 ci V8 that’s fuel-injected. The engine mates to a four-speed manual transmission and that sends power through a limited-slip differential. There are spinner wheel covers and whitewall tire.
1962 was the final year for the C1 Corvette, so you’re getting a historic model with this. It was the last year the Corvette would feature this body style. The body, which is fiberglass, features open headlights and fender vents as well as round taillights and a creased rear quarter panel.
The red vinyl interior is immaculate, and there’s manual windows, lap belts, and a Wonder Bar AM radio in the center stack. There’s a 160 mph speedo that’s flanked by other gauges. The odometer reads 2,000 miles, but that is just since the refurbishment. The car has had 400 miles put on by the current owner. The actual mileage for the car is unknown.
At the time of this writing, bidding is up to $50,000. There are just four days left on the auction, so if you want to get this car you have a few days to make it happen.
