2008 Corvette Production Volumes

A total of 35,310 Corvettes rolled off the end of the assembly line for the 2008 production model year, the fourth year of the C6 generation Corvette. Production volumes fell slightly in 2008 (down from 40,561 units in 2007).

2008 Production Volume by Model Variant

Coupes still proved to be the most popular model ordered with 56.7% of total production and a total of 20,030 units made (down slightly from 21,484 units in 2007). Convertibles made up 21.4% of the volume with 7,549 units produced in 2008 (down from 10,918 units in 2007). There were also 7,731 Z06 cars produced (down from 8,159 units in 2007), making up 21.9% of total production.

Below, we have broken out the 2008 Corvette production builds by RPO codes and options so you can see how popular or rare certain options were. The production volumes are broken out by domestic coupe and domestic convertible builds as well as Z06 options too.

Colorwise, Black was the most popular option in 2007 with 9,380 units made. Victory Red, Crystal Red and Jetstream Blue followed closely behind. Most convertible buyers option for the Black convertible top. XM Radio and Onstar were the most popular options with 33,561 added to cars. Dual power seats, heads up display and memory seats were also popular. 19,136 chose the six speed auto transmission.
