FOR SALE: A 1988 Callaway Twin-Turbo Corvette Convertible

Why post it you ask?

Well, for starters, this 1988 Corvette is #92 of 125 twin-turbo models built that year by Callaway Cars. and one of just 105 built that year which were ordered with the B2K option.  When a Corvette was ordered with Regular Production Option (RPO) B2K, the car would be shipped directly from the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, Connecticut for the Twin-Turbo Conversion.

Once equipped with the twin-turbo setup, the 1987 Callaway Corvette produced 345 horsepower (257 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque and could reach a top speed of 178 mph (286 km/h).  This put the car on-par with European sports car like Ferrari and Lamborghini, though the Corvette cost considerably less than either of its more expensive Italian counterparts.  That’s not to say that the car was cheap.  When equipped with the B2K Twin-Turbo option, the 1988 Callaway Corvette cost over $61k, a price increase of more than $25k over its base model counterparts.

Which brings us back to why we are posting this car.  At the time of this publication, this 1988 Callaway Corvette has just over 22k miles on the odometer and is listed for just $12,500.00.  While this price is subject to change over the coming week, it is currently an exceptional value on a rare and unique Corvette.
