This eye-catching 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 convertible, currently up for auction on Bring A Trailer, is a rare special-edition model originally registered in Texas, where it has remained in storage ever since by a single owner. With an original MSRP of $92,195, this Velocity Yellow example has seen 212 miles since leaving the Bowling Green, Kentucky, factory.
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Z06’s 427 cubic-inch LS7 V8 engine, featuring a dry-sump oil system, delivering 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed manual transmission. At the time, this made it the most powerful engine ever fitted to a Corvette convertible, capable of exceeding 190 MPH.
Despite being equipped with ZR1-style 20-spoke chrome aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin PS2 tires, the Corvette 427 Convertible maintained remarkable ride quality and handling balance thanks to its Magnetic Selective Ride Control. The car also features a carbon fiber raised hood and fenders, a ZR1-style rear spoiler, a Battery Protection Package, dual-mode stainless steel exhaust, speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering, and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with striking red calipers.
The Dark Titanium leather interior is enhanced by the 1SC Preferred Equipment Group, which includes custom red leather stitching, dual-zone climate control, navigation, memory settings, a six-way power driver’s seat, a premium Bose audio system with SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Bluetooth, and a tilt steering column.
