The C7 Corvette marked the end of the front-engine era with a powerful sendoff. At the peak of its performance lineup stood the ZR1, equipped with a supercharged LT5 V8. Its 2.65-liter supercharger—50% larger than the LT4 in the Z06—featured a dual fuel injection system, utilizing direct injection at idle and port injection under intense acceleration.
Generating 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque, the ZR1 accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds, completed the quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds, and reached a top speed of 212 mph. Production was limited to just 2,953 units for the 2019 model year.
As the fourth iteration of the ZR1 nameplate, the C7 ZR1 boasted the highest horsepower output of any Chevrolet production vehicle at the time, thanks to its 755 HP LT5 engine.
