If you love following the markets like we do at CorvSport, there’s nothing more fun than watching a Corvette auction brew and come to a boil, knowing that the last bid will yield the enthusiast a new (to them) Corvette. And that’s what makes no-reserve auctions so exciting for the bidders and watchers alike. But, on the flip side, it can be an anxiety-inducing process for the seller since they have no floor to protect their “bottom dollar.” [Author’s Note: This article is FREE and not behind a paywall. 1975 Corvette 1 of 1 Design Study Prototype
45k Miles Shown
Current Bid: $18,000
Auction Ends: 3/12/2025
Offered By: Dealer
Listed At: Bring a Trailer
Views: 14,645 Watchers: 1,192 Comments: 88 Bids: 13
Listing Highlights:
- This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette was modified when new by a team led by Frank Milne, who at the time owned noted Corvette dealer Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles. The work involved restyling the front and rear bodywork as well as revising the head and taillights.
- The selling dealer tells us that the revisions were a design exercise intended to explore concepts for future Corvette models. Finished in red over black cloth, the car is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
- Frank Milne owned the car before being exported to Europe after 1996. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2024, and it was imported from Belgium back to the US in 2025.
- Work in preparation for the sale involved servicing the brakes, overhauling the carburetor, and changing the fluids.
