The track-focused Z06 returned to the Corvette lineup for 2023, featuring the 5.5L LT6 engine with 670 HP and a high-revving flat-plane crank design. This hand-built powerplant, the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 in production, includes dual overhead cams and delivers a thrilling exhaust note with an 8,600 RPM redline—2,000 RPM higher than the base Stingray. Capable of 0-60 MPH in just 2.6 seconds, the Z06 offers exceptional performance across all metrics.
While designed for the track, the C8 Z06 has also been used for drag racing, as shown in a video from YouTuber Dr Horsepower. In the video, the Z06 faces off against a 2023 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak, a drag-focused machine with 807 HP from its supercharged Hemi V8.
