Queen Flops: More Garage Queens From CorvSport’s Series That Have Failed To Sell

In part two, CorvSport continues to highlight Corvettes from our Garage Queens feature that have flopped and failed to sell. Tell us your opinion!

You won't believe the miles on this 1998 Pace Car!

CorvSport has demonstrated that nobody covers the Corvette markets like we do, with exclusive features like our Garage Queens For Sale, Wholesale Corvette Market Reports, and Listings We Love series, just to name a few. If you’d like to see all of them, along with our other fresh Corvette content, with one easy click, check out our new digital magazine, CORVETTE OBSESSED! Just how many days have these Garage Queens been on the market? For the five Corvettes we highlight today, the total days on the market is 604, with an average of 121 days for each. Does that sound excessive? Do we extend some grace because they are not commuter cars?

I agree; these are collector-grade Corvettes, looking for just the right buyer and not your typical A to B transportation. But that dynamic does not change the reality of having tens of thousands of cash tied up in an asset that is designed to yield profit. And while many dealers do use floor plans to finance their inventory, that opens up a new can of worms, like large interest fees, partial-payment deadlines, and evitably full payment (which usually occurs in months, not years).

One of my favorite sayings in the business is, “The market has spoken,” and with the Garage Queen flops we have highlighted, it certainly has.
