Elevating Corvette performance to unprecedented levels, the C8 Z06 is powered by the 5.5L LT6 engine, delivering an impressive 670 horsepower through its high-revving flat-plane crank design. This hand-built powerhouse is the most potent naturally aspirated V8 currently in production, featuring dual overhead cams for each cylinder bank.
While C8 Corvette Z06 was extensively tested at the iconic Nürburgring race track, Chevrolet never published any official lap time. Fortunately for us, Sport Auto on YouTube has given us an insight on how quick this track-focused Corvette around the circuit really is.
With Sport Auto’s very own test driver Christian Gebhardt behind the wheel, the Z06 managed a time of 7:10.51 seconds. Now, it may not be the quickest time achieved around the circuit but it does show just how capable the C8 Z06 really is around the track.
