In celebration of the Corvette’s 50th anniversary since its debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1960, Chevrolet launched the 2011 Z06 Carbon Limited Edition. Originally, 500 units were planned to honor this milestone, but GM produced only 252. The car currently listed on Cars & Bids is number 81 of this limited run.
The Z06 Carbon Edition featured a 7.0L LS7 V8 engine, producing 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, making it the ideal platform for a premium commemorative model. Bridging the Z06 and ZR1, this edition added 15-inch carbon ceramic brakes, driver-adjustable magnetic shocks, black wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear), and Michelin Pilot PS2 tires from the ZR1.
Other unique elements included a carbon-pattern engine cover, black headlight surrounds, carbon-fiber ZR1 rocker extensions, a carbon-fiber splitter, race-numbered door decals, a raised carbon-fiber hood, a carbon roof panel, and a body-color rear spoiler.
Currently showing 20,200 miles, this 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Special Edition is finished in Supersonic Blue over an Ebony interior. Standard features include the Z06 Carbon Special Edition Package, Z07 Ultimate Performance Package, Z06 Carbon Fiber Package, and 3LZ Preferred Equipment Group, along with leather upholstery with blue stitching, heated power-adjustable sport seats, and more. Modifications include Apex VS-5RS wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear), Morimoto headlights and taillights, a Kenwood head unit with cameras, and aftermarket floor mats.
