For the 2017 model year, Chevrolet introduced their latest iteration of the Corvette Grand Sport at the Geneva Auto Show. Like the 2015 Corvette C7.R Pro race car, the 2017 Grand Sport combined a lightweight architecture, a track-honed aerodynamics package, Michelin tires and a naturally aspirated engine.
This particular model, finished in Arctic White with a blue center stripe and red interior, is one of only 1,738 Grand Sport Coupes produced in 2017 and served as an authorized Pace Car Edition for the Indy 500.
It boasts a 460 HP 6.2L LT1 V8 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. When equipped with the Z07 performance package, the 2017 C7 Grand Sport rivals the performance of the previous generation’s ZR1 Corvette. In fact, the Z07 equipped Grand Sport ran just a second slower than the ZR1 at GM’s Milford Proving Grounds.
Sporty aesthetics include red front-fender hash marks, carbon fiber body elements, and chrome Grand Sport wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Luxurious features include a carbon fiber interior, 3LT Equipment Package, cameras, HUD, and HID Xenon headlamps.
