The Corvette has long been known as America’s Sports Car, but Chevrolet elevated its status to supercar with the 2009 ZR1. This limited-production model was the first Corvette to surpass 200 MPH and became the most powerful car in GM’s lineup for the first decade of the 21st century.
The 2009 ZR1 is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine, producing 638 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 604 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 RPM. This impressive power enables the C6 ZR1 to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.3 seconds and achieve a quarter-mile time of 11.4 seconds at over 130 MPH.
Currently listed for sale on Bring A Trailer, this black 2009 ZR1 features an ebony and linen leather interior and has only 3,800 miles on the odometer. It is one of 1,415 ZR1s produced for the 2009 model year, the debut year for the C6 ZR1. The car comes with the optional 3ZR trim package, a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, and a 6-speed manual transmission.
The interior includes a power-adjustable steering column, steering wheel audio controls, a Bose sound system, navigation, and a CD stereo. Additional features include a limited-slip differential, 19″ and 20″ alloy wheels, Brembo ceramic-composite brakes, xenon headlights, an exposed carbon-fiber roof, a clear engine cover, and polished quad exhaust outlets.
