The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley offers a “home away from home” for families with sick children who are being treated in nearby hospitals. They provide a supportive environment, accommodation, and facilities to help families manage the trauma of their children’s illness.

Every program you support advances family empowerment for parents with sick children by providing more coping mechanisms. Your support for RMHC programs and services is not just a donation but an effective tool in helping minimize the financial burdens that come with taking care of children along this journey of medical attention. Last year alone, they helped families save $736 million in lodging and meal expenses.

The Annual Collector Car and Vacation Drawings are much more than fundraisers; they are about creating strong support networks. By participating in these events, you enable RMHC to continue serving people while bringing together car enthusiasts who want to make a positive impact.

The C8 Corvette, the eighth generation of Chevrolet’s iconic sports car, marked a revolutionary departure for the brand when it debuted in 2020. The model’s engine was relocated behind the driver, contributing to superior handling and performance that blurred the lines between sports cars and supercars.

Even though it’s in its fifth model year, the C8 Corvette is still one of the hottest cars on the market. Its unique design, with an added rush of power and technological advancement, has made it an icon these days. The C8’s ability to blend everyday drivability with world-class track capability has made it a desirable choice for a wide range of enthusiasts.

The 3LT trim of the Corvette is a fine blend of luxury and functionality for passengers and drivers. It enhances the interior by integrating luxurious materials such as Napa leather seating surfaces with perforated inserts, the Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim Package, and GT2 bucket seats that provide a sportier look and feel.

A Giant Leap for the Vette

Despite having a mid-engine layout, the C8’s bold and muscular design still has a traditional Corvette feel. In addition to sleek, aggressive projector headlights, concealed door handles, quad exhaust tips, prominent air intakes, and dual-element LED taillights all contribute to its menacing stance.

Nevertheless, the C8 is not only about looks. Its exterior has been carefully designed to optimize aerodynamics, increase downforce as well as ensure proper cooling of the engine. While the front splitter and rear spoiler generate up to 400 pounds of downforce between them: emphasizing its performance focus.

A True American High-Performance Gem

The C8 Corvette’s engine bay far exceeded expectations in functionality and appearance. Chevrolet has so perfectly arranged everything that it works better than expected and looks impressive. The heart of the C8 is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter small-block V8 engine, delivering 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It also features an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission for this powerful engine.

The first gear is set low to provide great traction and fully exploit the power available from the engine; however, gears two through six are closely spaced to keep revs up as the car accelerates. Seventh and eighth gears are meant for high-speed driving or just cruising economically down long stretches of highway.
