Watch A 2022 C8 Corvette Z51 Do A Top Speed Run

In 2020, the long-awaited debut of Chevrolet’s eighth-generation Corvette Stingray marked a historic moment, introducing the first mid-engine Corvette in history. This achievement realized the vision of Zora Arkus-Duntov, the original chief Corvette engineer.

Although the eighth-generation Corvette has generally pleased enthusiasts, some remain skeptical about its performance, particularly its top speed. Equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, the C8 Corvette achieves impressive acceleration, reaching 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 194 mph.

With that in mind, Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds uploaded a video on YouTube showcasing a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 during a top speed run. Notably, the Z51 package, features performance-oriented features such as an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and a performance exhaust system.

During the run, the 2022 C8 Corvette Z51 achieved a remarkable speed of 191.721 mph. Witness the exhilarating performance for yourself by watching the video!
