If you’ve spent any time on our website, you’ve seen our posts about the many amazing experiences we’ve participated in at the NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green over the past several years. This 3.2-mile racetrack, which is located “next door” (on the other side of I-65) to the National Corvette Museum, is a mecca for Corvette (and other) sports car enthusiasts. More than that, it is a facility that allows drivers of all skill levels to “test their mettle” on its 23-turn road course, while also providing many unique opportunities/experiences to improve driver skills through formal training programs.
For 2024, the NCM Motorsports Park has introduced an all-new experience – the NCM MSP Driving Academy!
Formerly known as the Corvette Experience, this newly reimagined driving experience has been developed to help Corvette enthusiasts and performance/sports car aficionados further improve their driving skills through a tiered series of driving schools. The first of these experiences, known formally as the “MSP Driving Academy: Level 1”, consists of a combination of classroom sessions, paddock activities, and on-track driving exercises. It has been carefully crafted by the MSP’s team of expert instructors to provide participants with high-level instruction specially tailored to support a diverse array of skills and comfort levels.
In addition to the on-and-off-track training/education at the Motorsports Park, participants will receive a lunch voucher to the Stingray Grill and admission to the National Corvette Museum, allowing all attendees the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the rich history/culture of the Corvette community after experiencing the thrill of the Corvette on one of the nation’s premier race tracks! It just doesn’t get better than that!
A few housekeeping items worth noting for this experience:
- Participants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license to participate.
- Participants must sign a Vehicle Damage Policy and Indemnity Agreement.
- Helmets are provided (and are required for this experience.)
- Closed-toe shoes and long pants are also required.
- Cancellations must be made 7 days or more in advance of the event date to receive a 100% refund.
- This event will run rain or shine, and no refunds will be made after the completion of services.
The Motorsports Park will host the all-new MSP Driving Academy: Level 1 session throughout 2024. At the time of the publication, they have the following dates available:
- February 17
- March 20
- April 22
- May 3
- June 19
- July 12
- August 9
- September 13
Also, for an additional $30 fee, participants can invite a guest to take part in the classroom portion of the activity, and said guest will also receive a lunch voucher to the Stingray Grill and admission to the National Corvette Museum. For a separate fee, your guest can also put on a helmet and experience the thrill of a ride along in one of the amazing C8 Corvettes as it is piloted around the rack by one of the MSP‘s professional drivers. This single, 20-minute ride-along track session will have them on the edge of their seat!
