This race-inspired commemorative C8 Corvette was developed using styling cues from the Corvette C8.R race cars and comes in one of the two distinct graphic packages which is the No. 3 Edition, which features Accelerate Yellow paint with gray body graphics. Likewise, the interior feature several unique upgrades especially the Sky Cool Gray upholstery laid on top of standard GT2 seats, yellow seatbelts, and a unique C8.R Special Edition numbered plaque. Competition Sport Bucket seats are also available.
It also comes with an extensive list of upgrades over the base model C8 Corvette that includes power-retractable hardtop, Z51 Performance Package, carbon fiber interior trim and ground effects, a performance data recorder, rear park assistance, a front-axle lift system, a performance exhaust, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, heated and ventilated Competition Sport seats, front and rear cameras, 19″ and 20″ wheels, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system.
Chevrolet limited this special edition Corvette to just 1,000 examples and was priced $6,595 more over the price of a 2022 Corvette 3LT. Each car also came with a custom car cover done up with one of the C8.R liveries.
This particular example features an exterior finished in Accelerate Yellow Metallic, complemented by black and Sky Cool Gray upholstery with Strike Yellow accents. Its notable equipment includes the Z51 Performance Package, the 3LT Premium Equipment Group, black 19″ and 20″ five-spoke Trident wheels, a power-retractable hardtop, a front suspension lift system, Carbon Flash ground effects, LED headlights, heated and ventilated power-adjustable GT2 seats, a head-up display, front and rear cameras, and a Bose sound system.
It boasts a mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine, which can be equipped with an optional performance exhaust system and a heavy-duty cooling system. It’s paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronic limited-slip differential, delivering a total power output of 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Power is channeled to the rear wheels through a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
This C8 Championship Edition convertible is now offered for sale with just 2k miles on the odometer and is certainly a coveted gem among Corvette aficionados.
