The Z06 Carbon was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first appearance of the Corvette at the 24 Hours of Le Mans when John Fitch and Briggs Cunningham won their class and finished eighth overall. The Carbon edition is essentially a Z06 with a ZR1 chassis and some of the carbon skin.
The limited edition is distinguished by Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with specific dark gray metallic calipers, black 20-spoke 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels, black headlamps and mirrors, a ZR1-style body color spoiler, body color door handles, carbon fiber raised hood, and black carbon fiber rockers and splitter. It came into only two colors: Inferno Orange and the all-new Supersonic Blue. The interior gets blue or orange seat stitching, a unique steering wheel emblem, sill plate, and logoed headrest.
Live on Bring A Trailer is a modified 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Special Edition and is said to be number 40 of the total 252 examples made. It features a six-speed manual transaxle, limited-slip differential, and carbon-ceramic brakes. Modifications include Advanced Composite Products body panels, JRX RS Pro coilovers, 18-inch Apex wheels, Hoosier R7 track tires, ARH exhaust headers, Akrapovic tailpipes, an OMP quick-release steering wheel, Sparco bucket seats, and Teamtech five-point harnesses. An aftermarket front splitter, rear wing, and vented hood were added, and the car was refinished in blue in 2018.
The 481ci Katech tall-deck billet V8, installed in 2016, features various enhancements like a shaved and ported MSD intake manifold, Nick Williams 102mm throttle body, ARE dry sump tank, ARE Spintric air-oil separator, American Racing exhaust headers, and a carbon-fiber Halltech cold air intake. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. Additionally, the car includes a stainless steel exhaust with Akrapovic tailpipes, along with differential and transmission coolers.
This 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Special Edition is a unique and visually striking ‘Vette due to its modifications. It’s now available for sale with 19,000 miles on the odometer, including a window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Nevada title.
