Last week Scot wasn’t completely happy with the exhaust, mainly all the curves. The new parts came in so time to get this stainless steel exhaust installed.
Now it’s time again to lower the body down on the chassis to check the clearances.
After a few minor adjustments, the body is good, and Scot gives us a quick summary. “Now that I have all my clearances I need to make a new tunnel cover and rear cover, probably make them out of aluminum. Still need to install the clutch master cylinder assembly, reconnect the brake pedal to the brake booster and still waiting for in tank fuel pump. Then I should be ready to drop the body back on the car. WOW! Lots of work to get to this point.”
Scot is still oozing positivity as he remarks, “I love this project!! Once the body is back on That will be a major accomplishment.” Now onto some of that work he just mentioned!
Due to delays with the fuel pump, Scot had to switch gears and install a different gas tank.
Scot gets sidetracked and remarks, “Nothing like spending 8 hours with a spray bottle of simple green and a puddy knife. Cleaning the almost 50 years of funk in this car. Well worth the time.” I agree, what a difference!
