Watch as the Sport Auto team take a EU-spec 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for a hot lap around Hockenheim GP with Uwe Sener onboard.
The Z06 managed to complete a lap of the Hockenheim GP in just 1 minute and 49.1 seconds in this video, proving to be faster than stock vehicles such as the BMW M4 CSL, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door, and Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS.
The Corvette Z06 proves to be a natural on the racetrack, displaying impressive stability throughout the lap, with only a few oversteer moments. The car’s sharp turn-in is also a standout feature.
Adding to the excitement, the soundtrack for the ride is provided by the car’s 5.5-liter V8 engine, which produces a distinct growl that sets it apart from other Corvettes.
It’s worth mentioning though that the EU-spec Z06 can only produce up to 636 hp and 439 lb-ft from the same the same 5.5-liter DOHC V8 engine found in the US-spec Z06. As a result, the EU-spec Z06 is one second slower to reach 60 mph.
