Built by Baldwin-Motion, this 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Motion Manta Ray GT is a rare car, being the only one of three built that is still in existence. It is powered by a 350 CI 4V engine that generates 425 HP, and features custom bodywork and special Motion Performance touches. The car’s authenticity is confirmed by Joel Rosen, the creator of Motion Performance, who signed the center console and T-tops, as well as a Letter of Authenticity. Additionally, Corvette Chief Engineer Dave McLellan added his signature to the T-tops.
The Manta Ray GT is part of the Baldwin-Motion story, a partnership that sold race-ready muscle cars right off the showroom floor. This specific model features 14 bodywork changes, a unique paint scheme, Hooker Headers/side pipes, wheels, air conditioning, and power windows.
