2024 Corvette Z06

When it comes to the 2024 Corvette, enthusiasts know that every detail matters, from the roar of the engine to the grip of the tires on the asphalt.

The 2024 Corvette marks the fifth model year of the eighth-generation C8 across the three variants: Stingray, Z06, and the all-new hybrid-powered, all-wheel-drive Corvette E-Ray.

Each of these models offers a unique blend of power, performance, and innovation. The wheel setups have just as much variety, featuring a total of 22 different wheel options available and boasting two different-sized staggered offerings, a 19-inch front and 20-inch rear, and a 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheel setup.

As a track beast, the Z06 comes equipped with advanced aerodynamics, a stiffer suspension, and larger brakes, all designed to improve performance capabilities on the track. With its aggressive styling and exhilarating performance, the Z06 is a purebred sports car designed for the Corvette enthusiast.

The Z06 also has the optional Z07 package which includes upgrades such as Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, carbon-fiber wheels, and enhanced aerodynamic components, further solidifying the track focus for this variant.

OEM Tires for 2024 Corvette Models

The 2024 Corvette models come equipped with three distinct tire options from Michelin:

  • Michelin Cup 2R
  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
  • Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4+ ZP.

While OEM selections have been dialed in for factory performance, they’re not the only players on the block.

If your ‘Vette is mostly for daily driving but you’re also exploring the possibility of track days, consider buying an extra set of rubber through online retailers such as NeoTires. Other tires such as the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 and Pirelli P Zero are equally strong competitors.

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4+ ZP

Michelin Pilot AS4

  • Versatile tire for year-round use.
  • Good performance in a variety of conditions, including wet and light snow.
  • Optimal for drivers who prioritize longevity and all-season usability.

If a more pedestrian daily driving experience is your style, the Pilot Sport All Season 4+ ZP provides year-round versatility yet reliable performance in various conditions.

The Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4+ ZP is designed as an all-season performance tire for performance across a wide range of temperatures. It’ll provide excellent traction in wet and light snow conditions, although you’re not likely to be driving this sports car in inclement weather. The All Season 4+ ZP also features Michelin’s Zero Pressure (ZP) run-flat technology, allowing the vehicle to be driven a short distance after a puncture, providing peace of mind and balanced performance for drivers needing a tire that can handle various weather conditions.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

The Pilot Sport 4S also offers a similar daily driving experience but is well known for its spirited performance, with many enthusiasts opting for them in their high-performance vehicles. It’s a performer for sure, but is nowhere as sticky as the Sport Cup 2R’s and manages to provide everyday usability in wet and dry conditions.

This tire offers excellent dry grip, reliable wet traction, and a longer tread life compared to track-specific tires, making it perfect for drivers seeking spirited driving performance in warm weather.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R

Michlin Pilot Sport Cup 2

The asymmetric tread pattern and large outer shoulder blocks enhance cornering stability, while reinforced sidewalls give it the structure required for those high lateral G’s on the track.

This tire is not intended for wet conditions and has a shorter tread life compared to street-focused options, making it ideal for track enthusiasts who prioritize performance over everyday usability.
