The Corvette has a long history of pacing the 500 race ever since it started in 1978. This year, marked its nineteenth time as the official pace car of the Indy 500 for the sixth consecutive year.
The C8 Z06 pace car is finished in White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat contrasted by a black stripe over the center of the body and a red band that goes along the driver’s side of the car. It is also equipped with the Z07 Performance Package that adds a carbon fiber rear wing, aerodynamic ground effects, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a host of other features to maximize its full track capability.
