2020 Callaway 25th Anniversary Edition

2020 Callaway 25th Anniversary Edition

The 25th Anniversary Edition is a hardened up version of Callaway’s Corvette SC757, which in turn is based on a C7-generation Corvette Z06. It features a supercharged V8 that pumps out 757-horsepower and 777 pound-feet of torque. The supercharger is a GenThree Callaway unit with the company’s TripleCooled intercooler system. A high-flow intake system feeds that beast.

Callaway’s Level Two HD Cooling System also helps it avoid the overheating issues that plagued C7 Z06s. That features high-flow intercooler pump that flows 35% more than the stock Z06 pump, a high-flow thermostate assembly with a Callaway Blue anodized CNC-machined housing, larger intercooler system capacity. The stock oil-to-water heat exchanger has been replaced by Callaway’s air-to-oil heat exchanger. The oil cooler lines are also high-temperature, polymer-braided -10AN steel.

An M7 short-throw shifter makes the 25 Anniversary Edition’s manual transmission even faster to shift.

A carbon fiber splitter, carbon fiber undertray with integrated brake cooling ducts and GT3 rear spoiler with winglets come standard. A lower ride height, increased track width and performance alignment were all done to make the car perform even better.

Callaway does a nice job of dressing the 25th Anniversary Edition up, too, from the carbon-fiber grille surround to the carbon-fiber engine cover with SC757 emblems on it. There are 25th Anniversary logos on the floor mats, door sill panels, the underhood VIN plaque and even etched into the rear glass. There are even matching Callaway key fobs that come with the car, just so people know.

The optional Champion Package adds a host of track-ready mods, including Bilstein MDS2 adjustable coilovers, a large GT3 rear wing that folds out of the way for trunk access, bump-steer and camber kits, a six-point racing harness and harness bar, and a more aggressive competition chassis setup. Uniball spherical bearings in all eight control arms and rear toe rods also help maintain the car’s suspension geometry under load.

The list of Competition options is pretty sweet, too: 385-mm Brembo six-piston front brakes, a carbon fiber sport seat available with lower sliding rails, front and rear tow hooks, special Callaway forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, body-colored painted grille lettering and even Stand 21 racing gear with a special 25th Anniversary Callaway design.
