The mid-engine C8 Corvette was introduced in 2020, but with markups being so high on those brand new vehicles, should you just skip the C8 and go for a 2017 C7 Grand Sport?
The C7 Corvette will always be known as the final generation of the front-engine Corvette. C7 started in 2014 and ended in 2019. What’s great about the C7 is that they brought back the Stingray name and continued the Grand Sport name.
This Grand Sport boasts a wider body and chassis components borrowed from the Z06, but it keeps the powertrain from the base Corvette, the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 pumping out 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. You can choose between a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. It goes from 0-60 mph in about 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of around 185 mph.
