The momentum continued from 1956 into 1957 with production volumes ramping up. 6,339 units were produced in 1957, up from 3,467 units in 1956. Big updates for the 1957 model year included the first year fuel injection was available and the first year for the optional 4-speed transmission.

Below, we have broken out the 1957 Corvette production builds by RPO codes and options so you can see how popular or rare certain options were. Fuel Injection was a big performance improvement but only 1,040 cars were equipped with the Rochester Ramjet Fuel Injection. The optional 4-speed transmission was chosen by only 664 buyers. As you can see, with each passing year the C1 got more and more options to choose from.
