Through the Sell My Corvette feature on our website here, a beautiful 1957 Corvette C1 restomod has become available for sale!
Even better, it’s a very stealthy restomod, keeping the shape and style of the first generation of our favorite sports car, but giving it modern driving features.
Listed among the modifications are full rack and pinion power steering accompanied by fully hydraulic and power-assisted front disc brakes.
The interior is also meticulously restored, with the modifications being a 15-steering wheel on an “Iddit” steering column, and a new Muncie 4-speed transmission with a Hurst competition shifter.
For getting the power to the road, all-new Torque Thrust-D wheels fitted with red line tires.
The engine, an original 1957 283ci V8, has been meticulously rebuilt and restored and had a new aluminum radiator to help keep it cool.
The original vacuum wipers have been replaced with electric 2-speed wipers, and the hood has been fitted with an electronic hood popper.
This specific Corvette was restored by the former owner and operator of a Corvette restoration and repair shop, and was a full body-off restomod done in 2018.
Since then, the car has only had 3,300 miles driven.
This 1957 Corvette C1 restomod is listed at $72,000, with the owner considering a partial trade for a 1963 to 1967 Corvette C2 in good to excellent shape.
Update, July 5, 2021:
The owner contacted Corvsport to let us know that it has been successfully sold to a collector in Virginia!
