Greetings, and welcome to another installment of CorvSport’s Z-NEWS, where we recap some of the top news surrounding the remarkable 2025 Corvette ZR1 and the highly anticipated (and mysterious) ZORA. I label the ZORA as mysterious because, as you may have heard, it was initially assumed that the ZORA would be the most expensive and highest horsepower variant of the Corvette. But, when Tadge Juechter casually remarked that the 2025 ZR1 would be the most expensive Corvette, many in our Corvette community began to wonder what precisely the ZORA would be.

This is the brief quote from now-retired Executive Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter that shook things up: “The Corvette ZR1 is the Most Expensive Corvette We’ll Be Doing.” The remarks were made during a Car and Driver video, and you can read our news recap on Tadge’s revelation here. Also, If you missed any factoids surrounding the new C8 ZR1 or missed any prior news articles, we will include our full overview and CorvSport archives below.

1) Sleeper EV Video From CBS Turns Into Fun With The 2025 ZR1

Don’t let the title of this first video deceive you because what starts as a segment about EVs from CBS Sunday Morning evolves into some high-speed antics with the 2025 ZR1 at the Milford Proving Ground. The high-speed runs and 360s begin at 3:18!

Video Preview From CBS Sunday Morning:

Correspondent Kris Van Cleave talks with Mary Barra, General Motors’ second-longest-serving CEO, about the company’s expanding electric vehicle lineup. He also takes a “high-speed” tour of GM’s Milford Proving Ground in Michigan, which has been a hub for automotive innovation for a century, and gets behind the wheel of GM’s soon-to-be-released electric Cadillac Escalade IQ.

“Stop it Electric motors make the Vette better in every way… drive a EVet you will never go back to a slow … noisy smelly gas vet.. never,… yo you can run an EVet super hard… and never over heat it or burn the valves or pistons… an EVet will go a million miles and still drive like new…
